I was surprised how much I liked this movie. I'm definetly not into musicals. At the movie theatre, in the opening scene, when Johnny Depp started singing I was thinking "OMG what was I thinking?". But I gave it a chance and I loved it!
I love Tim Burton's gothic style and I think Johnny Depp is a great actor.
What I liked most about the movie was the overall storyline and the amazing visuals. It was more like art than a movie. It just seemed to possess such fantastical quality and magic.
I was able to pick up an original copy of the play from the 1970's. It was also great and actually more adult.
It doesn't change my opinion of musicals (I f***ing hated Across the Universe). But it does support that it's great when Johnny Depp and Tim Burton team up.
Plot Summary from IMDB
"After hard years in exile for a crime he didn't commit, Benjamin Barker, now Sweeney Todd, returns to London to find his wife dead and his daughter in the hands of the evil Judge Turpin. In his anger, Sweeney goes on a murderous rampage on all London. With the help of Mrs. Lovett, he opens a barber shop in which he lures his victims with a charming smile before casually ending their lives with a flick of his razor across their necks. But not one man nor ten thousand men killed can satisfy Sweeney's lust for vengeance on those who've caused his years of pain."

Earn Money From Your Website
While you're in school there is an easy and fun way to earn some extra money. Google's AdSense is a free tool that allows you to put ads on your website or blog (there is no risk or commitment). Each time a visitor clicks on an ad you get paid. It can range from 1 cent to 1 dollar per click. It's easy to set up and there is a lot of help along the way. They also offer tips to optimizing your ad placement and customization.
FYI:
FYI:
- You can only put up to three ads on a page
- You cannot click the ads yourself or have your friends do it for you. Google has the ability to track and stop this. So be careful.
- You only get paid once you have reached earnings of $100 USD
- You cannot choose the ads for your blog
So check it out. I was able to do it and I don't know anything about HTML. Let me know if you have any questions.

Recommended Read: Cold Skin
Cold Skin, by Spanish author Albert Sanchez Pinol, was an unexpected find. A man, whom which you never learn his name, goes to an Arctic island to live by himself for one year as a weather official. His first night there he is attacked by a swarm of monsters.
It sounds like a cheesy horror flick but it's not. It's classified as fiction, not horror. It is philosophical but still a quick and easy read. I couldn't put the book down.
It was so compelling; full of suspense and action. It was overall a really messed up book. Probably won't be a bestseller any time soon as the general public might find it too strange and eerie.
It was a really cool book. One of my favourites.
Visit amazon.com to read the first few pages and a plot summary. Just click on the pic of the book on the lefthand side.

Moving Out: What to Expect
If you are moving away from home (to residence or off campus) here are some things you should know:
- spend time on campus to familiarize yourself and to meet new people (have your student number with you just in case)
- explore the city and know where everything is (i.e. bank, post office, grocery store, drug store)
- talk with roommates about living standards, chores, etc
- get a map of the city
- learn your new address
- see what your place has already compared to what you'll need to bring (some college houses have dishes, cutlery, microwave, pots and pans, a TV, etc but there are some things they might not have, like a can opener, hand towels, etc)
- take photos of any damage in your room before you move in so you will not be blamed for it later
- bring lots of food with you, that way you don't have to worry about grocery shopping your first week
- bring your own disposable household items like dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, ziplock bags, and toiletries
- don't be afraid to ask people for help, your school is your best resource
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to leave a comment. I'm here everyday. And don't get too nervous, it'll be exciting and fun if you let it.
