Back-To-School Supplies Checklist

If you are entering your first year at college/university you might be wondering what you need to bring the first day. It's not so different from highschool. But here is a list, from my three years of experience, of what to bring to class.

Mandatory:

• pencils
• pens (black, blue, red)
• eraser
• pencil case
• pencil sharpener
• stapler
• skinny highlighters of various colours
• whiteout pen/tape
• ruler/straight-edge
• lined paper
• calculator
• backpack
• sharpie markers
• small post-it notes for marking pages
• large binder or small binder for each class
• subject dividers for binder
• notepad/notebook
• folders for organization and reports

Optional:

• three-hole puncher
• printer paper
• printer ink
• laptop
• markers/pencil crayons
• graph paper
• tape
• memory stick

This is a good start. Your professors will let you know if there is anything else you will need. Also, leave some money in your back-to-school budget for unexpected expenses.
